TCN, Lagos, Stakeholders Meet to Boost Ibeju-Lekki Power Project

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Lagos Region, has convened a strategic meeting with the Lagos State Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the FGN Power Company, and other key stakeholders to advance the Ibeju-Lekki Power System Improvement Project.
The meeting, held on Monday at the Conference Room of the Lagos State Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, was aimed at strengthening collaboration and ensuring the smooth commencement of the critical power infrastructure project in the Ibeju-Lekki axis.
TCN’s delegation was led by the General Manager (Transmission), Engr. Mojeed Akintola, while the Honourable Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Mr. Biodun Ogunleye, chaired the session. Participants deliberated on project timelines, roles and responsibilities of stakeholders, and coordination mechanisms necessary for effective implementation.
Discussions also focused on identifying potential challenges that could arise during execution and developing proactive strategies to address them, with a shared commitment to timely delivery and improved electricity supply in the fast-growing Ibeju-Lekki corridor.
The Ibeju-Lekki Power System Improvement Project is expected to enhance grid reliability and capacity in the area, supporting economic activities and ongoing industrial and residential developments.
